Itinerary – Quick Inca Empire 5 Days

We will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel for a little rest and to drop off your suitcase.  Once you’ve settled in, we will take you on a walking tour of downtown Cusco and stop by a local restaurant for a taste of Pisco Sour.

Maras – Moray – Chincheros

1. We will pick you up from your hotel early and head into the sacred valley for a stop at the famous Maras salt mines.
2. Next we will go to Moray – the Inca green house – where the massive circular terraces will leave you speechless.
3. We will stop for lunch in a local community and finish our day with a visit to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo.  We will have dinner together in Ollantaytambo before spending the night at a hotel in town.

Short Inca Trail – Aguas Calientes

1. We will pick you up from your hotel early to take you to the Ollantaytambo train station. After one hour and ten minutes on the train, we will reach kilometer 104 – the start of the short Inca trail.
2. From here, we will visit the site of Chachabamba and then walk four hours to Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young) where we will have a boxed lunch.
3. We will continue for two more hours to Inti Punku, The Sun gate, where we will get our first view of Machu Picchu.
4. After spending some time there, you will have the option to walk or take a shuttle to Aguas Calientes where you will check into your hotel. At night, we will meet and have dinner together.

Machu Picchu

1. We will wake  early and take a 30 minute bus ride to Machu Picchu.  After a 2 hour tour with your guide, you will have free time to walk around on your own or climb Huayna Picchu Mountain (tickets must be purchased in advance).
2. When you are done exploring, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and take our train to Cusco.  
3. Dinner will be on your own

Home

Today we will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the airport for your flight home.

Cusco

We will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel for a little rest and to drop off your suitcase.  Once you’ve settled in, we will take you on a walking tour of downtown Cusco and stop by a local restaurant for a taste of Pisco Sour.

3. We will stop for lunch and then finish our day with a visit to Chincheros to make friends with the locals and their llamas and alpacas.  We will take you back to your hotel in Cusco where you’ll have dinner on your own and rest.

Ankasmarkas – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

1. We will pick you up from your hotel and head back into the Sacred Valley to explore the major fortresses.
2.  Along the way, we will stop for lunch in the Urubamba valley before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes.
3. We will have dinner together and stay overnight in the town.

Machu Picchu
