Day 1: CUSCO- SOQMA

Hiking time: 6-7 hours (including breaks and photo ops!)

  • We will hit the road from Cusco and start our hike through local villages and passed a waterfall to a mysterious cliff-top Inca Site called Perolniyoc
  • After you have plenty of time to absorb the incredible scenic overlook, we will hike for 30 more minutes to our campsite for dinner and an incredible view of the milky way after the sunsets

Day 2: SOQMA – INCA QUARRY

Hiking time: 7-8 hours (including breaks and photo ops!)

  • Today is the day to test your high-altitude fitness!  We have a 3 hour climb to the first mountain summit – Soqma – where you’ll be rewarded with amazing views and a short 15 minute walk to a delicious Peruvian lunch
  • From lunch, you’ll hike on rocky switchbacks on your way to the second summit and more unbelievable views
  • Finish the afternoon with an easy hike to our campsite in the middle of the rock quarry where you’ll find partially shaped ancient Inca stones

Day 3: INCA QUARRY – AGUAS CALIENTES

Hiking time: 3-4 hours (including breaks and photo ops!)

  • Spend the whole morning on an easy downhill hike to the Ollantaytambo train station.
  • We’ll take a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes where you’ll check into a hotel and have a nice hot shower and comfy bed for the evening.
  • We’ll have dinner together in town to celebrate your accomplishment.

Day 4: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Today is the day, People! Machu Picchu is here!

  • You’ll have an early morning guided tour of Machu Picchu for 2 hours
  • After the tour – you’ll have free time for further exploration or a hike up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. (Tickets to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are NOT included and must be purchased separately in advance)
  • You can have an optional lunch in Aguas Calientes(on your own)
  • Another scenic train ride back to Ollantaytambo where your van transport will be waiting to take you back to Cusco
